SS26 TEXTILES
World of Craft
World of Craft brings ethically crafted homewares to the SS26 collection. Founded in 1967, World of Craft works alongside artisan groups throughout Africa, Asia and Latin America to promote and develop traditional crafts, while supporting Fairtrade practices and creating sustainable employment for makers.
The collection features handwoven cotton stripe fabrics made by Mayan artisans in Guatemala, who have collaborated with Swedish designers to create vibrant cushion covers in three distinctive designs – Margarita, Vina and Michelle. Each piece is crafted on a vertical loom using complex multi-coloured weave designs and yarns, with all materials being Fairtrade certified.
Complementing the cushions are the 'Dhurrie' flatweave patterned runners, handwoven by skilled artisans in India. These striking geometric designs showcase bold colour combinations and intricate patterns, bringing artisan craftsmanship and a sense of global heritage to Heal’s discerning customers.
